Gay Games 6 - Sydney
November 1st-9th. There are only 3 words needed to describe the Gay Games experience - FAB - BU
- LOUS!
Check out the Sydney 2002 page for more
words and some pictures too.
Sincere thanks go the the 2002 Committee for their time, effort and
dedication during the lead up to the Gay Games.
Good Neighbours Tournament - Canberra
November 30st - December 1st. Just when you thought we hadn't played enough volleyball! One
team managed to drag (yes drag by every definition!) itself to Canberra
for the annual Good Neighbours Volleyball Tournament held by Volleyball
ACT. The team consisted of: Kin (Captain), Darren, Franky, Stephen,
Tim, Patrick and Furdy and competed in Men's Division 4. The venues
included the international-standard court at the AIS which was a dream to
play on.
More words soon...
Annual Picnic
Our annual Christmas Picnic was held on Sunday, December 7th.
Thanks to Melbourne's "summer" weather we almost got rained out, but we
Spikers are a hardy lot and the afternoon turned out to be beautiful. Coach Grace twisted her ankle slightly but didn't feel
much pain thanks to the copious amounts of medicinal fluids consumed
before and after the injury...
